These numerals were intentionally chosen. While the initials “SA” can be deeply triggering for survivors of sexual assault, this design transforms the message into something gentler- something safe. The roman numerals form a new symbol, a private understanding between those who carry this cause in their hearts. A subtle identifier of bravery. A quiet language of compassion. A reminder that we are never defined by our struggles, but by the strength it took to rise again.
At the center sits the semicolon, the iconic symbol of survival~ the place where a life could have ended, but continued. Wearing it is an act of defiance against hopelessness and a tribute to hope, healing, and second chances.
